Topology of Time
Elusive and yet finite, time marches on and yet takes mysterious detours through splendid mindscapes. Time, the distance between here and there, the space in between, filled with liquid memories, real and dreamed. What is real? What is a fantasy? Does reality start at a moment of passion or realization, in what we say is, or is there a finite realism? In a world consumed with ever shifting ideas and inundation of information, a picture captures one moment, frozen, to be absorbed by a individual at a particular moment in time, an intimate dialogue between two. Images of my past slide and blend with the now present, sometimes colliding, sometimes fuzzing to create a new microcosm and macrocosm. Life gives the illusion of unfolding like origami or a neat orderly sentence. At other times it occurs like a tangled ball of yarn. Does life exists in a casual manner or is it a multi-dimensional dance of immense design? When a shape and color is placed next to another, it is synchronicity or a random chance, a raging fire, either to consume or to give birth? Life, death, elation, fear, victory, loss, harmony, dissonance, sharp, soft, young, old, male, female, straight, curved, harsh and melodic are the shimmering, apparently paradoxical materials for art. I strive for simplicity, to see things as is, but I am filled with blinding passions. I am caught in a tsunami and only by making order out of chaos will I find my path to bliss.

"At the heart of all beauty lies something inhuman, and these hills, the softness of the sky, the outline of these trees at this very minute lose the illusory meaning with which we had clothed them, henceforth more remote than a lost paradise... that denseness and that strangeness of the world is absurd." Albert Camus
"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it."
